One of the Guinness World Records is "the greatest number of post cards sent at one time, from one place."  The Soles of Haverhill Shoe-labration is  seeking to establish a new world's record, collecting and "sending" Soles post cards from the Haverhill Stadium on July 3rd at the Shoe unveiling.

The current Guinness World record is held by China’s Luoyang City which sent 4,493 postcards from one location at one time on April 10,2009.

We are having 6,000 post cards printed, which should be available here in Haverhill on Friday, June 19th.

Soles of Haverhill postcards will be available at the Chamber of Commerce, Pentucket Bank, Haverhill Firemen Department Credit Union, Merrimack Valley Credit Union, and Haverhill Public Library. The community is asked to fill in the addressee, add a short message inviting people to visit Haverhill, affix postage, and return to  a sponsor's location prior to July 3rd or to the Stadium on July 3rd.
